Arrow-Leaf Aster – perennial with arrow-shaped leaves & clusters of small, daisy-like flowers that bloom in late August through October.

 

  • Growth: Can grow 3 - 5 feet tall.
  • Light: Tolerant of sun & shade.
  • Soil: Prefers well-drained soils. Adapts to moderately dry to average soils.
  • Hardiness: Can thrive in a wide variety of ecosystems including woodland edges, open woods, meadows, bluffs, forest edges, & roadsides, and can tolerate some disturbance.  
  • Maintenance: Adaptable & low maintenance. Self-seeds. To prevent unwanted spread, dead flowerheads should be removed before seeds can drop.
  • Benefits: Attracts a wide variety of pollinators, birds, small mammals, & deer.
