Little Bluestem - Prairie grass with tinges of silvery-blue on green stems with purplish seed heads that turn a copper-yellow in the fall. 
 
Growth: Can grow 2 - 5 feet tall.
Light: Full sun.
Soil: Can do well in dry infertile sites. Does not do well in constant moisture.
Maintenance: Low maintenance. Self-seeds freely.
Benefits: Great for rockeries or meadow gardens. Has an expansive root system that helps prevent soil erosion. Habitat & food for wildlife, especially birds.
