Maxamilian Sunflower (Helianthus Maximiliani) – a tall perennial with hairy stems that bloom brilliant, yellow flowers that are 2-3 inches across in late summer & into fall. 
 
Growth: Can grow 3 - 10 feet tall.
Light: Prefers full sun.
Soil: Prefers average, dry to medium, well-drained soils.
Hardiness: Drought tolerant & not too fussy. Deer resistant 
Maintenance: May self-seed & form a colony.
